The monthly allowance of Nigerian soldiers

Some people, especially youths and those who are considering joining military always like to know how much are being paid to soldiers serving in Nigerian Army.
The truth is that Nigerian soldiers are paid according to ranks.

There are two categories of ranks in Nigerian Army;
A. Non-commissioned and
B. Commissioned officers
A. Non-commissioned Officers.
A non commissioned officer is a soldier who do not graduate from Defence Academy.
NOTE: The figures are in Nigerian Naira. As of the time this post was published, 1 USD = 370 Naira
  • Private Soldier:  From 44,000 to 48,000
  • Lance Corporal: From 52,000 to 56,000
  • Corporal: From 57,000 to 59,000
  • Sergeant: Between 61,000 and 64,000
  • Staff Sergeant: From N66,000 to 70,000
  • Warrant Officer: From N74,000 to 82,000
  • Master Warrant Officer: From N88,000 to 95,000
B. Commissioned Officers

A commissioned officer is a soldier who graduated from Defence Academy/University Graduates.
