How To Be Among ''Stream 1'' of NYSC 2019 Batch 'A'

After Stream1 enter Camp, it takes another long time for Stream2 to join them, it may take 2-4 months.
Sometimes, if available resources to cater for stream2 is not enough, NYSC will merge Stream2 and the next batch, this means those in stream2 are to wait patiently for another batch to be called.

This can be annoying, people might begin to ask if you are sure you graduated.

Nevertheless, there are some other Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) that would like to wait and serve with Stream2, probably they are sick, no money, working, not prepared etc.
But if you don't want to be delayed anymore by NYSC, make sure you go with stream1

Now, the question is, how can I go with Stream1?
Relax, we are going to tell you, that is the reason we wrote this article.

NOTE: It is important to know that NYSC do not allow PCMs to choose 'Streams' for themselves, meaning that NYSC is to automatically choose your 'Stream'.
But don't worry, this is "Naija" there is always a way out.

NYSC has computer program that randomly assign PCMs to either stream 1 or 2.
The good news is that we can play with the intelligence of their system.

But before that, the major reason NYSC introduced Stream 1 & 2 is because the NYSC Orientation Camp across Nigeria do not have capacity to take the large number of PCMs at once.
Now, you know the reason we have stream1&2, let's quickly look at how it can be hacked.

How to be in your desired stream (either stream1 or 2)

Congrats! You have finally arrived!
If you desire to be in Stream1, you have to do online registration very early, ensure you complete your online registration on the very 1st day or 2nd day that NYSC opened its registration portal.
If you register on the 3rd day downward, you would likely fall to Stream2.

Tips on how to register on the 1st day of registration:

The day NYSC will open it registration portal, go to your registration point/cyber café as early as 5:30am in the morning, because you are likely to meet unimaginable queue. Also, the NYSC website usually experience 'server hiccups' due to too much traffic and heavy work loads.
  • If you register on the first day, you will have about 98% chances of falling within Stream1.
  • If you register on the 2nd day you will have about 80% chances of falling within Stream1.
  • On the 3rd day, you will have 50% chances of falling within Stream1
So, the earlier the better.
